Pro-Vision Meets the High Standards of the Texas Education Agency
Carrie Tate, Superintendent of Pro-Vision Academy congratulated her staff and instructors on Monday, August 11, 2014 after reviewing the Texas Education Agency’s school ratings. This is the second year of the Texas Education Agency’s revised accountability system, which rates schools and districts essentially on a pass-fail system. They are labeled either “met standard” or “improvement required.”
Both Pro-Vision Middle School and Pro-Vision High School, under the umbrella of Pro-Vision Academy met the standard. The ratings are based mostly on how well students performed last school year on a batter of standardized exams known as the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness. The system looks at STARR passing rates, annual progress, the scores of low-income and traditionally struggling students, and college-readiness indicators like scoring at the highest levels on the STARR tests. High schools are also judged on their graduation rates.
With a total enrollment of 263 students and an average of 96% economically disadvantaged population, Mrs. Tate is very proud of her faculty and the students. “Our students are hardworking and dedicated individuals who are committed to excelling in spite of their circumstances,” shared Mrs. Tate, “we are excited to be gearing up for a new academic year. Staff and teaches alike are training and preparing for fun and activity filled school days!”Watch Cyberbully (2015) Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download
